About the Artist

Meet Sarah, the passionate creator behind RO Keramik. For her, working with clay is more than just a craft—it’s a way to find peace. When Sarah is at her pottery wheel, whether lost in the rhythm of shaping each piece or quietly reflecting in her studio, she finds a deep sense of calm. It’s a peace that touches her heart, mind, and soul—hence the name

RO Keramik, which means "peace" in Danish.
Sarah’s journey into ceramics began as a personal quest for creativity and mindfulness. She is an autodidact, having never formally studied pottery. Originally trained as a graphic designer, Sarah discovered the meditative and therapeutic nature of working with clay, and it quickly became her true calling. The process of creating her pieces, from shaping the clay to the final glazing, fills her with joy and presence, and she hopes that this energy flows through to those who use her work.

At RO Keramik, Sarah creates handmade stoneware pottery meant to be part of everyday life. Each piece is crafted with care, with the intention that it will be cherished for years to come. Her pottery is made to endure, fired at high temperatures to withstand both oven and dishwasher use. Every mug, plate, and bowl is not just functional but infused with love and spontaneity.

All of her creations are brought to life in her small studio near the village of Hou in Eastern Jutland, Denmark. It’s here, surrounded by nature and a sense of quiet, that Sarah continues to explore and expand her craft, always seeking to bring a little more peace and beauty into the world—one piece of pottery at a time.
